We make our own decision regarding closings and delays. We do NOT follow Durham Public School's schedule. Please look for announcements specifically for Central Park School for Children.

Details of closings or delays will be announced on:

• Our website http://www.centralparkschoolforchildren.org by 7:00 A.M. and we will have a message on our voice mail at the school.

• WPTF - AM 620

In the event of an early dismissal, our emergency parent phone tree will also be activated to try to reach parents personally. Class parents are organizing the phone tree. If you have not given your emergency contact information to your class parent, please do so. And make sure your child's teacher knows your plan for an early dismissal if we cannot reach you. Early dismissals are chaotic and most likely you will not be able to get through to the school to give instructions so please inform your child's teacher of specific plans ahead of time.

Since we do not have buses, we will be open more often than the public schools. Parents therefore use their own judgment (considering car capabilities, condition of route, and driving comfort) to decide when transportation is safe for them.
